Academic Eligibility

Eligibility is determined by the most recent marking period grades.
Semester Grades are not an eligibility factor.

Academic Probation Period –  Mandatory study hall sessions for the first 16 school days of the season for students who enter a season ineligible. There is no probation for student-athletes for marking periods that end in the middle or end of the sports season.

Eligible Student-Athletes  
1) Maintain a “C” average (2.0 GPA or greater)
2) A maximum of one  “E”, “I” or “U” in courses during that marking period.

Fall Sports

  • 9th Graders are automatically eligible
  • 10-12 grade – Eligibility will be computed by using the 8 highest grades from the previous 4th marking period, including summer school if applicable.
  • When 1st marking period report cards are distributed, ineligible athletes will be removed from the team without the probation period

Winter Sports

  • 9-12th Grade –  Winter eligibility will be computed by using all 1st Marking Period grades including Twilight and Evening school.
  • When 2nd marking period report cards are distributed,  ineligible athletes will be removed from the team without the probation period.

Spring

  • 9-12trdh – Winter eligibility will be computed by using all 2nd Marking Period grades including Twilight and Evening school
  • When 3rd marking period report cards are distributed,  ineligible athletes will be removed from the team without the probation period.
